Brief

Ian Cooper is a management consultant who helps individuals and businesses to enhance their leadership performance and get the best out of them.

He needed a brand to reflect his straightforward thinking and plain talking approach. This was to be implemented into word and powerpoint templates whereby Ian could populate the content himself for use as supporting publications given out in his business seminars.

Solution

Drawing from the initials of Ian Cooper, the ‘I’ and ‘C’ coincidentally makes the phonetic sound of ‘ I see’ as in ‘I see what you mean’. Using his use of plain talking and writing, the information being taught is clear and concise which makes learning simple, enjoyable and easy to relate to. ‘ I see’ being a usual response from his clients, hence is relevant for representing Ian Cooper and his services.

Client feedback

‘The project was to create a ‘personalised’ identity to support a new series of publications and business seminars that, whilst running parallel with other Eyedeecee Management initiatives, would be regarded in the market as a wholly separate and distinctive brand.

The way which Tam and John work with clients is simple, straightforward, efficient and business-like. They took a detailed brief and asked intelligent perceptive questions. They showed an understanding of my needs, to which they added their creative flair to enhance my thinking and to refine the specification. Then they delivered each stage of the project for my consideration and approval; as promised…on-time, to budget, clearly laid out and with sufficient explanation regarding rationale and style.

What they also do, rather cleverly, is suggest quite strict timescales for response to their proposals at each stage. This simple requirement reflects their appreciation that there’s more in the clients schedule than this project. It helps to guide you through the process, helps to retain focus and keeps the project moving.

Finally, they show a clarity and breadth of thought that recognises issues beyond the purely design elements of the project brief…this awareness sets them apart from the average supplier and, combined with their creativity and professional competence, enables them to deliver a product and service beyond expectation.’
