Brief
The Sisters at Poor Clares Lynton needed to raise awareness of their community in Lynton, a remote village in South West England.
Solution
The website was designed to reflect their way of life. It provides information about the history of St Clare of Assisi, and their contemplative life at the convent. Visitors can request prayers through the site’s form.
The site’s launch coincides with BBC2’s program ‘The Convent’ in June 2006. The series is about four women seeking self discovery through adopting the traditional values of the Poor Clares and was filmed at the Poor Clares of Arundel. With the subject in the media, there will be greater interest in the Poor Clares.
